It all started in the Euro-Mediterranean Cinema Center of Audiovisual in Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco. Back then our mentor, Said Gougaz, was still a student. And now he shares his journey with us:
I dipped a foot in the world of cinema as a photographer specialized in still photography. I worked in various projects in different countries. Then I started to get interested in documentary films and the way they reflect reality as it is. The more I work the more I discover and the more I find myself attracted to the documentaries about the extreme and here my love for extreme sports is triggered. I made documentary films about surfing, rallying, hiking and marathons; I gather experience across the world in extreme filming, my camera on my back, defying all the extreme conditions and situations that crossed my path. Such a wonderfully adventurous journey it is.
It was logical for me as I grow in this field to create and found my own company and the name just came naturally, Extreme Media was born.
